Laser and light skin rejuvenation at DermaSpa consists of a single treatment or combination of our limelight treatment and laser genesis.

Laser Genesis

For all skin tones we choose Laser Genesis.  Laser Genesis is a revolutionary rejuvenation method, for it feels warm and relaxing, and your skin looks healthy right after the treatment.  There is no redness, no blistering, and no downtime that we often hear horror stories about with laser treatments.  Our patients describe that the treatment feels like 'warm water drops', and many find it soothing and relaxing.

Laser Genesis For Acne

Acne can be successfully treated with Laser Genesis alone, or in combination with skin exfoliation treatments (chemical peels), home care regimens, and/or medication.
During your acne treatment with Laser Genesis, the laser wand is waved over your skin and the wavelengths and heat work to kill the bacteria that cause acne, improve the collagen production to reduce scarring, and reduce pore size.

Before your Laser Genesis treatment, we ask that you stop using your products and topical medications with active ingredients for 1-2 days.  You may restart these 1-2 days after treatment provided your skin is not irritated.

Many of our acne patients want to apply makeup to cover their lesions.  After treatment we can apply priori mineral makeup and treatment, to reduce any redness and cover up any acne lesions.  This treatment will not irritate your skin, and will cover up any blemishes so you can go back to work, school or life right away!

Laser Genesis For Pigmentation And Brown Spots

Laser Genesis is used to improve skin pigmentation, especially when used in combination with Limelight, or topical medical grade treatments.  We suggest scheduling a consultation with us, to obtain a compimentary Visia skin analysis.  This analysis will help us determine the best treatment for your pigmentation, and the cause and depth of your pigmentation.

Limelight Treatment

Limelight treatment treats the upper layers of the epidermis, to reveal more even toned skin.  Limelight is suitable only for light skin tones, and is an excellent choice to improve brown spots from sun damage, redness, and acne!  Limelight is the photofacial with real-time calibration - meaning your laser treatment will be customized to your skin, and powerful enough to treat your skin issues every time.  We suggest a series of 3-4 Limelight treatments to improve skin issues such as brown spots, redness, rosacea, acne and fine lines.  We perform limelight treatments every 4 weeks during this series.

Many of our patients love the limelight treatment to improve sun damage after the summer - it is our most favorite fall treatment for this reason!  Some of our patients purchase a package of 4 treatments, but only use 2-3 initially, and save the last 1-2 treatments for a "touch up" after the summer, or after holiday.

DermaSpa Two Dimensional Laser Treatment (The 2D)

This is the ultimate skin rejuvenation treatment!  It combines both the Laser Genesis and Limelight treatments in one session for outstanding results.  Limelight works to target the top layers of the epidermis and dermis, while laser genesis targets the upper to mid dermis.  This way all layers of the skin are being treated.

Patients of all ages get the 2D.  But there are some exceptions.  We do not treat the following patients with the 2D or with limelight treatment

• Sun Tanned Skin
• Skin of colour
• Patients on Accutane cannot receive any laser treatments till at least 6 months after their treatment has been completed.
