Skin Tag & Mole Removal at DermaSpa Ajax Pickering
We remove many skin lesions at DermaSpa including skin tags and moles. Our DermaSpa MD Physician will assess your skin and determine whether your skin lesions are suitable for removal. Please book a consultation with our DermaSpa MD Physician if you have a skin lesion you would like removed.
At DermaSpa we remove skin lesions for cosmetic purposes; that is, we remove skin lesions which do not look suspicious for malignant change. Despite this, we send skin lesions to the lab, when possible, to get a confirmation that your skin lesion was benign. We receive these results 2-4 weeks after your skin lesion removal.

Does skin tag and skin lesion removal hurt?
You can feel safe and comfortable that our treatments always begin with application of a numbing agent, to ensure you do not experience discomfort. This numbing agent can be applied in cream or local anaesthetic form, and is administered by our physician at the clinic.
Our patients comment that this treatment is very tolerable, and quick!
How do you remove skin tags and skin lesions?
We have several methods available for removal of skin tags, and skin lesions. Our physician will determine the best method for you, at your consultation.
How long does it take to heal?
Initially you will leave the clinic with a small bandage over the treated area. We ask that you leave the bandage on for 24 hours, or until it comes off naturally in the shower.
Under the bandage you will have a small crust or scab. We advise that you do not pick at this crust, or force its removal. Instead, we recommend that you apply a topical antibiotic, such as Polysporin, three times daily for one week.
After approximately 7-10 days you will notice that the crust comes off on its own, leaving new pink skin underneath.
How do I know if I am healing well?
If the healing process occurs as noted above, then you are healing well. If signs of infection occur, you must contact us and see our physician for assessment and treatment as soon as possible.
Although infection is rare after treatment, it can occur, and should be assessed and treated in a timely manner.
Signs of infection after lesion removal include:

- Fever or chills
