Clinical studies have proven that massage therapy can indeed benefit migraine sufferers. Massage therapy can be used for migraine treatment and migraine prevention.
A clinical randomized controlled trial (RCT) in 2013 showed that massage therapy can be an effective non-medication therapy for patients suffering from migraines. Other beneficial effects demonstrated during this trial included massage therapy reducing anxiety, heart rate, and cortisol (the stress hormone).
